Well, this took a while

Roughly 25 years ago, a neighbour told me that she had started this new thing called a weblog, in order to communicate with people who might land on her website. It made no sense to me at the time, all this new terminology...yet here I am. I hadn't thought I would write in it, this default feature of my website, but I reconsidered, and thought it might actually bring me closer to the people who are here reading.

Getting to this point has taken years. You'll know from the home page that 'Er...we don't talk about that in church' was originally going to be the title for a book, but various rather heavy things got in the way of that. Then, when I finally took the leap and said to God that I would take a break from my Masters Degree studies at Christmas to begin a website...

...things went very wrong...and this is one of the reasons for writing this particular blog entry. There is a belief in some circles that when someone is about to do something that the spiritual enemies of God find offence with, they will attack. I, and my family, have never had so many very serious health issues all at once. The fact that I can even think in any depth and type after one of them is a miracle.
